Here, we evaluated taxonomic utility leaf morphological and anatomical characters distinct morphologies currently placed under Oxalis polymorpha Mart. ex Zucc., a highly polymorphic from Brazilian Atlantic Forest. We analyzed leaves 13 specimens gathered five populations throughout species' geographic distribution. samples were light scanning electron microscopy. observed differences in blade venation patterns, indumentum petioles blades, pulvinar vascular tissue configuration, midrib organization. The variation these allowed us to recognize four different morphotypes among samples. These are geographically disjunct differ each other additional features, such as arrangement along stem, leaflet shape, inflorescence position, petal color, fruit shape. is good candidate investigating if phylogenetic relationships support its at level.
