ABSTRACT
This
paper
investigates
the
factors
influencing
employees’
work
engagement
with
focus
on
experiences
of
employees
in
Slovenian
and
Malaysian
organizations.
Previous
research
has
shown
that
closer
an
employee's
is
organization,
higher
performance.
To
explore
job
characteristics
deliver
engagement,
this
study
employs
Hackman
Oldham's
model,
focusing
core
elements
task
identity,
significance,
skill
variety,
feedback,
autonomy
as
a
lens
to
investigate
phenomenon
two
different
countries.
Data
from
organizations
Slovenia
Malaysia
were
gathered
analyzed
using
quantitative
methodology.
The
findings
highlight
fact
not
necessarily
employee
engagement;
whereas
former
examines
at
psychological
level
individual
employee,
latter
takes
broader
approach
looking
are
also
organizational.
We
find
affected
by
characteristics—task
autonomy—but
these
differ
according
context,
which
we
have
can

organizational
behavior

greatly
influence
the
success

organization.

studies

its
correlation
with
happiness
(WPH).

present
research
seeks
to
investigate
direct
