In the face of mounting pressures in modern society, research into restorative environments has emerged as a crucial field addressing issues related to mental health and environmental wellbeing. This study presents comprehensive bibliometric analysis 919 publications on environment research, spanning from 1993 2024, utilizing VOSviewer CiteSpace for data visualization, based Web Science database. The main objective this is provide scholars researchers with deeper insight current state evolving trends while also pinpointing areas that warrant further investigation. examines patterns across several key dimensions, including publication volume, keywords, journals, academic disciplines, countries, institutions, individual researchers. results highlight following points: (1) Research experienced significant growth since 2014, marked acceleration during COVID-19 pandemic. (2) primary foci include psychology, relationship between nature social wellbeing, urban ecosystems aesthetic health, psychology cognitive restoration emerging most interconnected core themes. (3) Leading journals Journal Environmental Psychology, International Public Health, Frontiers Psychology. (4) fields contributing body are public landscape architecture, planning. (5) United States highest number (212 papers), followed by China (159 Kingdom (90 Sweden (67 Australia (55 papers). (6) Uppsala University prolific institution, 35 publications, Swedish Agricultural Sciences (32 papers) Exeter (24 Finally, restoration, connection identified leading dynamic areas. These findings suggest made strides over past 3 decades poised continue expanding years ahead.
