Abstract We prepared the dialkynyl monomers 1,4-butanediol dipropiolate, meso -erythritol and isomannide dipropiolate (IMDP) via reactions of 1,4-butanediol, -erythritol, isomannide, respectively, with propiolic acid. The thiol-Michael polyaddition three several dithiols, namely, 1,4-butanedithiol, ethylene bis(thioglycolate), 3,6-dioxa-1,8-octanedithiol, D,L-dithiothreitol, D-2,5-di-O-(2-mercaptoacetate)-1,4:3,6-dianhydromannitol (MAIM), proceeded in chloroform, tetrahydrofuran, or N,N -dimethylformamide (25 °C) using triethylamine as catalyst to give unsaturated poly(ester-thioether)s expected structures ( M n , 2.4 × 10 3 22.6 ; molecular dispersity index [ w / ], 1.26–2.00). All poly(ester-thioester)s had single glass-transition temperature T g ) values between −27 49 °C. While rigid main chains improved glass transition temperature, all showed apparent enzymatic hydrolysis by lipase but low biodegradability biodegradation tests activated sludge. poly(IMDP- alt -MAIM) highest biobased degree (55%) (10%) (49 °C), suggesting that dianhydrosugars are suitable biomass for improving well thermal properties.

Abstract Poly(3‐hydroxybutyrate ‐co‐ 3‐hydroxyhexanoate) is a polymer obtained by bacterial fermentation that emerges as an alternative to polymers of petrochemical origin. The complex crystallization kinetics occurs over 15 days after melting, known ageing, limits its industrial application. During the aging process, there change degree crystallinity, which has effect on chemical structure material. Additionally, changes in mechanical properties, colorimetry, and dimensional shrinkage are observed. Different material properties observed depending cooling conditions employed. For ageing two different considered: at room temperature annealing high (60 °C).

New composite materials were developed with poly(lactide) (PLA) and Posidonia oceanica fibers through reactive extrusion in the presence of dicumyl peroxide (DCP) subsequent injection molding. The effect different amounts methyl trans–cinnamate (MTC) on mechanical, thermal, thermomechanical, wettability properties was studied. results showed that generated disruptions PLA matrix, causing a decrease tensile mechanical an impact strength due to stress concentration phenomenon. Reactive DCP improved PO/PLA interaction, diminishing gap between surrounding as corroborated by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). It observed 20 phr (parts weight MTC, per one hundred parts composite) led noticeable plasticizing effect, significantly increasing elongation at break from 7.1% neat 31.1%, which means improvement 338%. A considerable glass transition temperature, 61.1 °C 41.6 °C, also observed. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) loss thermal stability plasticized composites, mainly volatility cinnamate ester, leading onset degradation temperature above 10 MTC.

This work reports on the development of fi bers based natural mango kernel starch (MKS) with diameters in nanoscalse by means electrospinning technique.MKS was extracted from kernels and two synthetic polymers, namely polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), were blended MKS order to improve its spinnability, obtaining MKS/ PVA PVP a 10 wt% total polymer concentration.Several conditions (voltage fl ux) tested solutions concentrations ranging 0 to5 for both group bers. The morphology all evaluated eld emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) their topography analysed atomic force (AFM).MKS/ nanofi obtained diameter range 0.146 0.315 m, "smooth ber concentration threshold" 3 wt%, while PVP, 0.080 0.339 m produced, but 5 beaded bers, as result an excess concentration. Finally, roughness optimal showed quite similar trend that diameter, presenting roughnessess between 80 343 nm.
