Abstract The pressing need to address climate change has driven research into novel CO 2 capture materials. Here, the synthesis of ‐responsive diblock copolymers, i.e., poly( N ‐[3‐(dimethylamino)propyl]‐acrylamide)‐ b ‐poly(methyl methacrylate) (PDMAPAm‐ ‐PMMA) through a two‐step RAFT polymerization process, as well use synthesized copolymer membrane for were investigated. resulting features distinct segments with different properties. PDMAPAm segment offers characteristics, while PMMA provides mechanical stability. gas transport properties fabricated thin‐film composite composed PDMAPAm‐ ‐PMMA or and polydimethylsiloxane gutter layer measured adsorption behavior both was evaluated. exhibits responsiveness can be customized in fabrication membranes adsorbers direct air technologies.
