Intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) is the main cause of cervical and lumbar spondylosis. Over past few years, relevance between cellular senescence IVDD has been widely studied, senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) produced by senescent cells found to remodel extracellular matrix (ECM) metabolism destruct homeostasis. Elimination senolytics suppression SASP production senomorphics/senostatics are effective strategies alleviate degenerative diseases including IVDD. Here, we review involvement in process IVDD; also discuss potential on eliminating alleviating finally, provide a table listing senolytic drugs small molecules, aiming propose for therapy future.

Banxia Xiexin decoction (BXD) is a classic Chinese herbal formulation consisting of 7 herbs including Pinelliae Rhizoma, Scutellariae Radix, Zingiberis Ginseng Glycyrrhizae Coptidis and Jujubae Fructus, which can exert effects on lowering lipids alleviating depressive mood disorders via affecting gastrointestinal tract.The pathogenesis atherosclerosis (AS) co-depression disease has not been well studied, the current clinical treatment strategies are satisfactory. As result, it critical to find novel methods treatment. Based hypothesis that gut microbiome may promote development AS by regulating host lipid metabolism, this study sought evaluate effectiveness action mechanism BXD in regulation an intervention mice.To determine primary constituents BXD, UPLC-Q/TOF-MS analysis was carried out. Sixteen C56BL/6 mice were fed normal chow as control group; 64 ApoE-/- randomized into four groups (model group three groups) high-fat combined with daily bind stimulation for sixteen weeks develop mouse model administered saline or low, medium high concentrations during experimental modeling period.
