Abstract Background Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a common type of liver cancer, with high mortality rate. cancer that can be effectively managed through early detection and accurate diagnosis, followed by personalized treatment plan may include surgical resection, transplantation, minimally-invasive techniques, immunotherapy, or targeted therapy depending on the stage severity cancer. Main body abstract This paper discusses recent advances in detection, management, prevention HCC. The use newer imaging such as Magnetic resonance (MRI) contrast-enhanced ultrasound, along image segmentation technology deep learning models, have greatly enhanced accuracy HCC diagnosis. Minimally-invasive thermal ablation radiofrequency ablation, allowed for more precise destruction tumors, while Nanoparticles, immunotherapy shown promise management advanced Artificial intelligence (AI) machine has revolutionized research, aiding identification high-risk patients predicting outcomes. Lifestyle modifications, weight alcohol avoidance, hepatitis B vaccinations, play critical role preventing development. Short conclusion Recent improving patient therapy, AI research lifestyle modifications prevention. However, further required to fully understand potential benefits nanoparticles, traditional Chinese medicine herbal medicines treatment. Graphical

Parkinson's disease (PD) is currently the second most incurable central neurodegenerative resulting from various pathogenesis. As "energy factory" of cells, mitochondria play an extremely important role in supporting neuronal signal transmission and other physiological activities. Mitochondrial dysfunction can cause accelerate occurrence progression PD. How to effectively prevent suppress mitochondrial disorders a key strategy for treatment PD root. Therefore, emerging mitochondria-targeted therapy has attracted considerable interest. Herein, relationship between PD, causes results dysfunction, major strategies ameliorating treat are systematically reviewed. The study also prospects main challenges

Since the 1980s, studies of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) derived from anuran skin secretions have unveiled remarkable structural diversity and a wide range activities. This study explores potential these for drug development by examining granted patents, amino acid modifications related to patented peptides, recent amphibians' taxonomic updates influencing AMP names. A total 188 patents different were found, with Asia North America being predominant regions, contributing 65.4% 15.4%, respectively. Conversely, although Neotropical region is world's most diversified amphibians, it holds only 3.7% identified patents. The activities are claimed in 118 Additionally, 160 66 registered natural sequence, 69 both derivative sequences, 20 exclusively sequence derivatives. Notably, common include alterations side chains acids peptides' N- C-termini. review underscores biomedical anuran-derived AMPs, emphasizing need bridge gap between description practical while highlighting urgency biodiversity conservation facilitate discoveries.

Ferroptosis is a type of iron-dependent programmed cell death characterized by depletion glutathione. Although generally less harmful to normal cells, in tumor the high demand for iron ions provides conditions conducive ferroptosis. In this review, we provide an overview recent progress research on regulation ferroptosis summarizing and assessing current state, trends, applications nanomaterials cells. Given advantages terms targeting, safety, improved drug efficacy, reduced side effects, these materials are considered have potential therapeutic value modulating cells via different mechanisms. respect, describe methods modifying interfering with glutathione activity lipid peroxidation. Background: Cancer continues to be a prominent issue in the field of medicine, as demonstrated by recent studies emphasizing significant role autophagy development cancer. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) provides variety anti-tumor agents capable regulating autophagy. However, clinical application autophagy-modulating compounds derived from TCM is impeded their restricted water solubility and bioavailability. To overcome this challenge, utilization nanotechnology has been suggested potential solution. Nonetheless, current body literature on nanoparticles delivering TCM-derived for cancer treatment limited, lacking comprehensive summaries detailed descriptions. Methods: Up November 2023, research study was conducted gather relevant data using databases, including PubMed, ScienceDirect, Springer Link, Web Science, CNKI. The keywords utilized investigation included "autophagy", "nanoparticles", "traditional medicine" "anticancer". Results: This review analysis overcoming delivery challenges enhancing anti-cancer properties TCM. evaluation based synthesis different classes TCM, mechanisms action treatment, benefits reported various scholarly sources. findings indicate that shows availability thereby opening up plethora therapeutic avenues. Conclusion: Nanotechnology enhance efficacy traditional through regulation Keywords: autophagy, nano-delivery, anti-cancer, medicine

Bioenergetic therapy based on tumor glucose metabolism is emerging as a promising therapeutic modality. To overcome the poor bioavailability and toxicity of arenobufagin (ArBu), MOF-derived intelligent nanosystem, ZIAMH, was designed to facilitate energy deprivation by simultaneous interventions glycolysis, OXPHOS TCA cycle. Herein, zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 loaded with ArBu indocyanine green, encapsulated within metal-phenolic networks for chemodynamic hyaluronic acid modification targeting. ZIAMH nanoparticles can release in microenvironment chemtherapy, ICG enables photothermal under near-infrared laser irradiation. In vitro vivo mechanism studies revealed that nanoplatform downregulated related genes, resulting reduction substances metabolites tumors. Additionally, it significantly promoted cell apoptosis upregulating pro-apoptotic proteins such Bax, Bax/Bcl-2, cytochrome C. Animal have shown inhibition efficiency nanomedicines three fold higher than free drugs. Therefore, this study provides new strategy metabolism-mediated bioenergetic PTT/CDT/CT combined
