ABSTRACT Polylactide (PLA)/polyphenylene oxide (PPO) composites were prepared in a wide range of compositions by mixing solutions PLA and PPO chloroform used to obtain dense thin films. It was found that the aggregates formed PLA/PPO blends more compact compared with those existing individual macromolecules. The structural features composite films studied using wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction analysis, scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric estimated comparison properties pristine Gas transport determined measuring H 2 , CO O N permeability. Preparation improved initial polymers: gas permeability increased, selectivity enhanced. revealed (30) exhibited optimal properties. molecular dynamics simulations blend performed for detailed study effect introduced into matrix on structure composites. obtained thermally stable good mechanical properties: elevated strength (43–50 MPa) combination high rigidity (1600–1950 MPa).
