Apple (Malus domestica) is the third most produced fruit worldwide. It a well-known source of bioactive compounds mainly represented by hydroxycinnamic acids, flavan-3-ols, dihydrochalcones, dehydroascorbic acid, carotenoids, chlorogenic epicatechin, and phloridzin. Due to lack recent evaluation clinical trials associated with apple consumption, this review investigated effects on metabolic conditions related inflammation oxidative stress reviewed applications waste food products. Thirty-three studies showed that apples or its derivatives exhibit anti-inflammatory antioxidant actions, improve blood pressure, body fat, insulin resistance, dyslipidemia, reduce cardiovascular risks. Apples have great economic impact due several in industry as supplement since it has impressive nutritional value. Dietary fiber from pomace can be used substitute for fat products an improver content meat also bakery confectionary fermented produce alcohol. Pomace phytocompounds isolated applied antioxidants The potential use by-products environmental damage.

Background and purpose Methamphetamine (METH), a synthetic psychostimulant highly addictive drug, could cause depression acute liver injury. There have been few studies on the mechanism by which METH induces damage how to alleviate METH-induced hepatic toxicities. Albizzia julibrissin Durazz. flowers (AF) is traditional Chinese medicine known for its ability releve soothe liver. The extracts of AF shown hepatoprotective effects with their anti-oxidative activities. potential toxicity remains unclear. This study aims investigate priamry active ingredient hepatotoxicity explore underlying mechanisms. Methods Firstly, we used MTT assay screen components AF. Then, UPLC-MS/MS was employed analyze effective identify In addition, in vitro vivo experiments were conducted toxicity. Moreover, flow cytometry detect hepatocyte cycle arrest apoptosis; biochemical kits oxidative damage; transmission electron microscopy, mitochondrial membrane probes, Western blotting damage. C57/BL6J mice establish METH-mediated injury model. After 21 days intervention AF, serum from collected level markers, tissues H&E staining, oxidation index analysis, mitochondrial-related protein expression analysis. Results We found that ethyl acetate fraction significantly alleviated decrase activity induced . Further analyses showed quercitrin (QR) major QR alleviates apoptosis, cell arrest, stress, exerts therapeutic regulating BAX/CASP3 pathway. Conclusion main component can effectively injury, related mitochondria-mediated apoptotic

Quercetin is a flavonoid commonly found in various fruits, vegetables, and grains. Studies have demonstrated that quercetin may help protect neuronal cells from damage caused by neurotoxins associated with Parkinson's disease, however, the underlying mechanism remains unclear. The current study aimed to investigate neuroprotective effects of MPTP-induced disease mouse models elucidate its mechanistic role modulating PI3K/Akt/GSK-3β signaling pathway. Male C57BL/6 mice were divided into control, MPTP, quercetin, MPTP + groups. protective on evaluated using animal behaviour analysis, histopathological examination, immunofluorescence staining. Subsequently, network pharmacology was utilized determine primary target sites disease. Finally, western blotting molecular docking techniques applied validate identified targets. significantly improved motor deficits mice, reduced atrophy, preserved TH+ dopaminergic neurons.
