On account of the long-term inflammatory microenvironment, diabetic wounds are challenging to heal in which advanced glycation end products considered important factors hindering healing wounds. Gum Arabic has demonstrated significant potential treatment various diseases owing its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Nonetheless, there is still insufficient research on role gum facilitating mechanisms. This study aims investigate pharmacological targets therapeutic mechanisms wound by adopting network pharmacology, molecular docking, experimental validation. Abstract Dietary fibres (DFs) constitute a wide range of heterogeneous compounds that resist digestion and have beneficial effects on general health. Gum Arabic (GA) is tree exudate consisting 90% arabinogalactan, polymer arabinose galactose sugars with prebiotic properties. As dietary fibre, GA improves renal function, metabolism, immune response in humans animals. However, the underlying mechanisms leading to these health benefits are poorly understood. We supplemented female male zebrafish ( Danio rerio ) two concentrations (6% 60%) for weeks. assessed supplementation gut microbiome composition, intestinal brain metabolic profiles, reproductive fitness, gene expression. found resulted changes relative increase Fusobacteria decrease Proteobacteria where genus Cetobacterium was significantly more abundant after supplementation. increased acetate levels, particularly brain, causing decreased expression cart1 zebrafish. While overall activity fish, fitness negatively affected by females. Our results suggest while may positive rate activity, it come at trade-off fitness. Significance Statement fibres, plant-based food sources, can improve They include natural gums like gum Arabic, highly sought-after additive used as homogeniser. Despite our better understanding nutrition, fibre gap still prevalent Western world efforts being made incorporate new sources close this boost well-being. Here, we showed when into diet, had modulatory effect microbiota-gut-brain axis findings support but also link their impact sexual dimorphism dosage. This has implications developing nutrition guidelines both animals humans.

Gastrointestinal tumors, including those of the stomach, colon, rectum, and esophagus, present significant global health challenges. Chemotherapy, essential for treating these cancers, often causes constipation, adversely affecting patients' quality life. This study examines mechanisms behind chemotherapy-induced such as direct impact chemotherapeutic drugs on intestinal function, reduced fluid intake, decreased physical activity, opioid use, psychological stress. While traditional treatments like stimulant osmotic laxatives are commonly used, emerging therapies 5-HT4 receptor agonists probiotics show promise. Traditional Chinese medicine offers additional strategies with herbal remedies dietary adjustments. Future research should prioritize precision medicine, combining pharmacological non-pharmacological approaches, developing innovative therapeutics utilizing biologics nanotechnology. Ongoing is crucial improving constipation management, aiming to enhance treatment outcomes life chemotherapy patients gastrointestinal tumors.
