In recent years, many countries have focused on sustainable development issues in their economic policies. turn, institutional quality is important for ensuring the of state. One key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Goal 8 - Promote sustained, inclusive and growth, full productive employment decent work all (SDG8). Achieving this goal particularly both Ukraine, which has faced serious demographic problems due to Russian military aggression, Poland, accepted a large number refugees from Ukraine.The aim article determine role implementation SDG8 Poland Ukraine. To achieve objective, paper uses following methods: visualisation, calculation Spearman's rank correlation coefficients, logarithmic transformations, Augmented Dickey-Fuller test (ADF test), Granger causality test. The study World Bank's SDG indicators as well Worldwide Governance Indicators (WGI) Ukraine Poland. data cover period 1996 2020.The results showed that correlations between WGI are country-specific. demonstrated causal relationships first second differences logarithms vary identified patterns allow us conclude impact environment performance cross-country variations. addition, comparison shows different institutions dissimilar effects productivity by sector.
