As global manufacturing competition increasingly emphasizes supply chain resilience, enhancing the risk resistance of chains through digital empowerment has become a critical priority. This study leverages opportunities economy to deeply investigate mechanisms that enhance resilience. Using data from China’ s A-share listed companies 2012 2020, research framework is constructed based on information asymmetry and transaction cost theories. Employing text analysis factor analysis, develops indicators for resilience examines their relationship both theoretical empirical testing. The findings reveal that: (a) Digital significantly enhances in sector, this conclusion robust across various robustness checks. (b) Mechanism demonstrates drives primarily by innovation vitality within enterprises. (c) moderating shows environmental uncertainty positively influences digitally empowered chains. (d) Further indicates effects vary depending intensity, position, industry levels. These results validate positive role promoting explore ’black box’ mechanism perspective vitality. also highlights influence uncertainty. By advancing understanding how fosters high-quality development manufacturing, provides actionable insights strengthening achieving greater control over dynamics, deeper integration between technologies real economy.
