Abstract 2‐Pyrazolines are important five‐membered heterocycles, containing two adjacent nitrogen atoms. They can incorporate various functional groups and possess unique biological properties. Moreover, they have been used as useful building blocks. In recent years, the field of 2‐pyrazoline synthesis has experienced enormous progress. Novel strategies developed, many studies reporting improvements or adaptations existing protocols published, giving access to new functionalizations, unexplored structures, and/or enantioselective synthesis. This review summarizes progress made in synthetic methodologies during period from 2012 2022. The functionalization challenges capabilities, scopes limitations reactions, substitution patterns, mechanisms where appropriate, will be discussed.

Abstract Owing to the giant significance of organic dyes in both analytical as well supramolecular chemistry, here, we report an efficient and green methodology for preparation indicator dyes, namely fluorescein phenolphthalein. This particular method involves inexpensive, reusable, biodegradable deep eutectic solvent (DES) choline chloride (ChCl) zinc (ZnCl 2 ) a ratio 1 : 2, furnish corresponding with appropriate stoichiometry easily accessible starting materials. Strikingly, this procedure, DES played two‐fold role catalyst was efficiently recycled four successive runs no substantial cascading yields anticipated products. simple yet environmentally realistic protocol, our best knowledge, is first method, whereby has been employed successful any dye molecule date. Hopefully, novel procedure dye(s) synthesis will be much importance not only from researchers perspective, but it also provide new way undergraduate postgraduate level experiments.
