ABSTRACT This study describes the preparation of clay/polymer composites using Bijoypur clay (kaolinite) and copolymer poly(hydroxyethylacrylamide-co-3-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane) (poly(HEAA-co-MAPTS)) for removal organic dyes from industrial wastewater. The was prepared by free-radical polymerization hydroxyethylacrylamide (HEAA) 3-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (MAPTS). activated purified followed modification with dodecylamine. FT-IR analysis confirmed successful incorporation polymer organoclay in composites. TG showed that composite exhibited better thermal properties increasing percentage. X-ray diffraction revealed crystalline size increased 23.79 to 60.43 nm percentage (1–4%) polymer. SEM higher uniform porous structure. Adsorption carried out methylene blue (MB) acid black-172 (AB) dyes. concentration adsorption capacity both MB (5.288 mg/g) AB (6.696 aqueous solution, at initial 25 ppm, 50 mg dose, pH 10.1 4 AB. developed capability cationic anionic which gives a scope their universal application dye
