The aim was to easily achieve clearer structural colors than ever before by layering nanoparticles using the Langmuir-Blodgett method. outermost surface of titanium dioxide (TiO2) particles with a particle diameter 15 nm modified long-chain fatty acids synthesize organo-modified TiO2. TiO2 spread on air/water interface, and obtained single-particle layer laminated different numbers layers obtain stepped multiparticle thicknesses 400-800 nm. exhibited clear color gradation. Compared previous studies involving use triiron tetroxide nanodiamonds 5 nm, without need for pretreatment. formed highly ordered structure demonstrating 11th-order reflection in out-of-plane X-ray diffraction. Additionally, compared other systems, modification rate high in-plane packing chains advanced. However, hue changed when samples were annealed at 50 °C h. A method subsequently proposed introduce hydrogen-bonding functional groups into suppress this behavior. pursuit ease stability expression will lead future applications cosmetic science.

Abstract The metal-trapping and metal-desorption abilities selective metal-scavenging properties of an interfacial molecular film a highly ordered copolymer that exhibits spherulite-forming ability in the bulk state, despite having bulky azacalixarene rings, were investigated. synthesized contained ring crystalline polyethylene-glycol-chain-based repeating unit. monolayer on water surface this was able to collect various metal ions from subphase trap monovalent ions; not possible with other derivatives. As cations incorporated via weak interactions applied electric field inside ring, they could be desorbed or recovered by using simple ultrasonic treatment. valences ionic radii captured strongly influenced desorption behavior. In addition, characteristic selectivity confirmed evaluating capture metals containing multiple cations. preference for trapping ion correlated difficulty ring.

Poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA) was blended with an ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer, which is generally recognized as a phase-separated system. The interactions between these polymer species were examined via spherulite observation. PLLA/EVA blend concluded to be partially miscible onset temperature for the crystallization of PLLA, crystalline polymer, systematically changed when PLLA EVA at various ratios. glass transition behavior almost absent in thermogram PLLA:EVA ratio greater than 2:1. size distribution became finer from 3:1 2:1 1:1, and observing spherulites difficult 1:2. Because nucleation position different each time during repeated melting/crystallization spherulites, this system exhibited homogeneous nucleation. In addition, plot versus time, inclination angle = blends, critical estimated.

Abstract Two types of long‐chain fatty acids were modified onto the surface titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ) nanoparticles with a particle size 15 nm. The ultraviolet (UV)‐shielding properties resulting organo‐modified TiO then evaluated. A single‐particle layer was formed on water surface, which subsequently multilayered to various thicknesses, confirming systematic UV‐shielding properties. When introduced into solvent‐containing thixotropic additives, gel‐like films by coating, and fibrous fiber growth solvent gelation observed. In gel‐coating films, particles confirmed range from dispersion state secondary aggregates, suggesting their potential as coating UV‐scattering ability. characterized using vibrational spectroscopy X‐ray diffraction techniques. addition, additive molecules cetyl ethylhexanoate, an emollient agent for cosmetics. mixture viscosity measurements, leading formation film.

In this study, we unprecedentedly fabricated a Langmuir monolayer of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) using novel method. The prevailing opinion is that it impossible for completely insoluble substance, such as PTFE, to form monolayers on the water surface/Langmuir monolayers, owing limitations in preparation A solid tablet was prepared PTFE and floated surface day night detect pressure. When two-dimensional compression applied, pressure-area isotherm obtained, suggesting formation monolayer. Upon transfer substrate, an X-ray photoelectron spectrum derived from fluorine atoms atomic force microscope image thickness single fluorocarbon chain obtained. contact angle substrate measured, value equivalent three-dimensional state Thus, study first produce Langmuir-Blodgett film surface. Because C-F bonds chains are inherently polarized, predicted molecules would be more stable when liberating interacting with than through intermolecular interactions tablet.
