Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) gaining increasing interest in heterogeneous catalysis owing to their advantageous properties such as superior porosity, high surface area, ample catalytic sites. Their can be tailored by varying the metal ions or clusters (nodes) and organic linkers. Magnetically active nano core-shell MOF composites are also discovered for easy separation reuse of catalyst. catalysed multicomponent reactions (MCRs) satisfy several green chemistry principles thus considered a sturdy step towards sustainable chemical synthesis. In this article, synthesis biologically potent pyran scaffolds through MCR approaches have been reviewed. Preparation catalyst, its performance synthesis, reusability has discussed with reaction each example.

Abstract An efficient and practical approach has been developed for the rapid synthesis of indolyl‐chromene derivatives. Ultrasound assisted three component reaction salicylaldehyde, acetophenone indole leads to indolyl 4 H ‐chromene products in good yields. Pyrrolidine base ethanol medium are employed achieve desired compounds within short time at room temperature. We have also shown catalytic activity usefulness present method by describing TOF TON measurement. Beside includes a metal‐free process, greener solvent, broad range substrate scope, mild conditions.

This paper presents a new strategy for the construction of chiral 4H-chromene skeleton. A series 2-trifluoromethyl-4-(indol-3-yl)-4H-chromenes were synthesized in moderate to good yields (60-92%) with excellent enantioselectivity (up 97% ee) through palladium-catalyzed asymmetric condensation 2H-chromenes and indoles. These trifluoromethylated, stereochemically rich building blocks hold potential value medicinal chemistry.
