Bismuth-based perovskite material has been used as promising photocatalysts for photo catalytic degradation of toxic dyes with tailored crystallites and fine-tuned band gap superior activity. BiFeO3 Bi4Ti3O12 were synthesized by a simple sol-gel method their crystal structure, morphology, optical property characterized XRD, SEM, TEM, FTIR, EDS UV–DRS. The XRD pattern exhibits the formation rhombohedral orthorhombic phase bismuth ferrite titanate. study confirms non-uniform nanoparticles uniform particle distribution, energy (Eg) 2.2 eV 2.9 eV, respectively, from UV-DRS analyses Tauc Plot. examined photocatalytic prepared catalyst MG MB altering parameters like solution pH, dose, agitation time. results indicated that exhibited higher degrading efficiency compared to under similar experimental conditions. degraded more than @ 80% both 0.4 mg∙L‒1 within 90 min 74% having 0.6 taken in 20 mL ppm dye concentration 60 prevailing parameter efficacy may be contributed Eg makes active solar spectrum. mechanism involved photoinduced electron/hole pairs producing radical species, kinetics following pseudo-first order rate photocatalyst stability studied through five continuous runs. found outperforms reducing cationic suggests them potential waste water treatment alternatives.
