Metal halide perovskites (MHPs) are emerging gas-sensing materials and have attracted considerable attention in gas sensors due to their unique bandgap structure tunable optoelectronic properties. The past decade has witnessed significant developments the field; however, intrinsic structural instability ambiguous mechanisms hamper practical applications. Herein, we summarize recent advances MHP-based sensors. physicochemical properties of MHPs discussed at first. design, including dimension design engineering is overviewed as well fabrication methods, put forward our insights into mechanism MHPs. It believed that enhanced understanding helpful for application materials, can enhance stability, sensing sensitivity, selectivity target gases Subsequently, latest summarized according different scenarios. Finally, conclude with current status challenges this field propose future perspectives.
