In the pursuit of advancing materials for methane storage, a critical consideration arises given prominence natural gas (NG) as clean transportation fuel, which holds substantial potential alleviating strain on both energy resources and environment in forthcoming decade. this context, novel approach is undertaken, employing rigid triptycene foundational building block. This strategy coupled with incorporation dichloromethane 1,3-dichloropropane, serving flexible linkers, respectively. combination not only enables cost-effective fabrication but also expedites creation two distinct triptycene-based hypercrosslinked polymers (HCPs), identified PTN-70 PTN-71. Surprisingly, despite PTN-71 manifesting an inferior Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) surface area when compared to rigidly linked PTN-70, it showcases remarkably enhanced adsorption capabilities, particularly under high-pressure conditions. At temperature 275 K pressure 95 bars, demonstrates impressive capacity 329 cm3 g−1. exceptional performance attributed unique network structure PTN-71, exhibits pronounced swelling response subjected elevated conditions, thus elucidating its superior characteristics. The development these advanced signifies significant stride realm storage underscores importance tailoring structural attributes optimized performance.

ABSTRACT Circularly polarized luminescent materials find extensive applications in 3D displays, information encryption, and photoinduced supramolecular chirality. However, controlling the handedness of circularly luminescence remains a significant challenge advancing optical technologies. In this study, we present Janus light emitter comprising fluorescent film combined with chiral nematic cellulose switchable The achieves maximum dissymmetry factors (0.28 −0.65) through mode switching. addition, show emitter's versatility inducing helices azobenzene polymers varying polar groups, resulting signals. Importantly, chirality these can be switched by altering emitter. These results are expected to facilitate efficient design photoinduction devices.
