In response to the contemporary energy crisis, researchers have intensified efforts explore green and renewable sources alongside developing robust storage devices. Supercapacitors stand out among various options due their high-power density rapid charge–discharge cycles. However, lower poses a challenge, leading exploration of diverse electrode materials, including black phosphorus (BP). BP, with its two-dimensional (2D) layered structure akin graphene, exhibits exceptional properties, making it promising candidate for applications, storage. This Perspective focuses on properties BP as an material supercapacitors, covering electrochemical performance, charge mechanisms, synthesis methods. Challenges such restacking stability prompted innovative strategies enhance BP-based both qualitatively quantitatively. Furthermore, fabrication hybrid nanocomposites carbonaceous polymers, conducting other 2D materials is discussed, highlighting efficacy along future outlooks.

Supercapacitors (SCs) are widely recognized as competitive power sources for energy storage. The hierarchical structure of nickel vanadium sulfide nanoparticles encapsulated on graphene nanosheets (NVS/G) was fabricated using a cost-effective and scalable solvothermal process. reaction contents the composites were explored optimized. TEM images displayed (NVS NPs) with 20-30 nm average size anchored to nanosheets. interconnection encapsulating NVS effectively reduces ion diffusion path between electrode electrolyte, thereby enhancing electrochemical performance. NVS/G composite demonstrated improved performance, achieving maximum 1437 F g
