Blended bricks can be defined as the ancestor of fabricated used today, although they are not preferred much today. The development technology has led to changes in properties and form blended bricks. use bricks, which we frequently encounter architectural applications, continues, albeit less than past. Today, it continues its activities many areas, especially restoration projects. In this study, was aimed produce with improved thermal insulation, low unit weight compressive strength accordance TS standards by substituting granular aerogel, is a nanomaterial, into brick body. samples containing 0%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5% 10% granulated aerogel were produced. Acidic pumice for lightweight production kept constant at 50%. Lightweight fired 900 oC 1000 oC. As result insulation properties, required

Published: Jan. 1, 2024

Boron nitride (BN) aerogels are crucial for applications in harsh environments because of their low density, exceptional mechanical properties, chemical inertness, and oxidation resistance. However, conventional BN possess many disadvantages, such as complex preparation, unstable inability to be mass produced. Herein, we successfully prepared fiber by sol-gel, freeze-drying, high-temperature pyrolysis. Results show that have high specific surface areas (257.69 m2/g) porosities (99.9%), which form porous structures with disorderly arrangements layers. The were exhibit outstanding overall encompass thermal stability, hydrophobicity, resistance, properties (45 cycles at 35% strain without change),and conductivity (0.043 W/(m·K)). multifunctional aerogel has the potential a promising candidate resistance insulation challenging environments.
