Adhesives
are
extensively
used
in
industry
and
construction,
with
formaldehyde-free
options
gaining
popularity
due
to
their
enhanced
safety
chemical
stability.
However,
water
resistance
remains
a
significant
limitation.
In
this
study,
simple
efficient
strategy
based
on
physicochemical
dual
cross-linking
synergistic
network
was
proposed
develop
new
adhesive
(IBMP-BT).
The
unique
structure,
featuring
stable
formed
by
amidation
of
multiple
hydrogen
bonds,
enables
resistance,
strength,
toughness
the
adhesive.
dry
shear
strength
IBMP-BT
reached
2.03
MPa
0.600
J,
respectively,
representing
improvements
89.7%
255.03%
compared
those
unmodified
wet
bonding
1.16
MPa,
significantly
exceeding
requirements
China's
national
standards.
This
innovative
design
allows
olefin
copolymers
replace
traditional
formaldehyde-based
products,
leading
creation
high-performance
adhesives.
