In the post-pandemic era, human demand for a healthy lifestyle and smart society has surged, leading to vibrant growth in field of flexible electronic sensor technology health monitoring. Flexible polymer humidity sensors are not only capable real-time monitoring respiration skin moisture information but also serve as non-contact human–machine interaction method. addition, development moist-electric generation is expected break free from traditional reliance devices on power equipment, which significant importance miniaturization, reliability, environmentally friendly devices. Currently, playing role wearable thus have attracted considerable attention. This review begins by introducing structural types working principles various sensors, including capacitive, impedance/resistive, frequency-based, fiber optic, voltage-based sensors. It mainly focuses latest research advancements particularly modification humidity-sensitive materials, fabrication, hygrosensitivity mechanisms. Studies material composites different polymers, polymers combined with porous nanostructured metal oxides, two-dimensional materials reviewed, along comparative summary fabrication performance mechanisms related paper concludes discussion current challenges opportunities faced providing new perspectives their future development.
