key
strengths

including
increased
political
plurality

voter
engagement,
while
identifying
opportunities
reform,
such
as
reducing
campaign
financing
mitigating
money
politics.

change.

provide
abundant
sources
data
for
research,
much
remains
to
be
learned
from
rigorous
large-scale
quantitative
analysis

surveys
across
parts
world.
We
reflect
what
aspects
elicit,
relate
them
patterns
existing
empirical
literature,
identify
important
implications
future
research.
