Nowadays rice has become one of the world's staple foods. Rice in southern China is also a food for everyone, however, with development China's industrialization model, many industrial areas may be contaminated by heavy metals, leading to contamination agricultural areas. With recent years, Nanning heavily area, and favourite food. Therefore, it matter concern detect whether metals contaminate due environmental factors. Five administrative villages were selected from 12 districts, 20% natural randomly soil water sample taking using probability distribution points making number samples each village evenly distributed. The single gene index pollution method Nemerow composite was used evaluate polluted crops. evaluated through national standard Food Safety Contaminant Limits. survey shows that metal moderate, especially cadmium more serious, but risk factors area small impact on overall safety quality rice, which still within controllable range. total exceedance rate surveyed local 20.95%, paddy 33.33%. rates lead, cadmium, inorganic arsenic, mercury 2.23%, 17.88%, 0.56%, 0.84% respectively. Cadmium identified as primary contaminant highest detected concentration reaching 1.23 mg/kg, 6.15 times above limit set health standards. This study environment Province low, caused relatively little rice. However, since will continue enrich chain time, long-term use cause harm human body. necessary raise attention governments rice-producing safety, then take effective measures improve detection technology, crop quality, protect people's safety.

Abstract This paper presents the state and spatial distribution of surface sediment contamination 77 lakes in Poland by Cr, Ni, Cd, Pb, Zn, Cu. The analyzed were located within a network nature protection areas territory European Union (EU). Spatial heavy metals (HMs), factors favoring delivery/accumulation HMs sediments, pollution sources analyzed. results indicate lake sediments HMs, but potentially toxic effects are only found single lakes. Cr indicates predominant impacts point sources, while for impact non-point sources. analysis showed presence with very high values particular (hot spots) western part Poland, group 5 low Zn (cold was identified central Poland. Principal component that wetlands is factor limiting inflow to Also, lower concentrations catchments higher proportion national parks reserves. Higher Special Protection Areas designated under EU Birds Directive. positive matrix factorization four HMs. High their delivery from industrial, urbanized, agricultural areas. However, these overlap, which disturbs characteristic quantitative profiles assigned

Heavy metals have attracted much attention due to their irreversibility, persistence, concealment and bioaccumulation. Biomonitoring method combined chemical analysis can be well evaluate health risks of heavy in the environment. In this study, eleven sediments water samples were collected along Xihe River, which was polluted by Shenyang city China. The content multiple these determined inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. 18S rRNA gene sequencing performed identify composition diversity nematodes fine River sediments. biological toxicity water-soluble extracts from further assessed referring different endpoints Caenorhabditis Elegans. results indicated that risk high (potential ecological index = 308.75), Hg Cd are main contributing factors. relative abundance complemented result, Enoplida, Mononchida, Triplonchida, Chromadorida presented a significant positive correlation with concentration metals. Specially, sensitive changes positively correlated As, Pb V. Therefore, such as applied environmental monitoring

Heavy metals are common in our environment, and all individuals exposed to them some extent. These toxic have several harmful effects on the body, including kidney, which is a very sensitive organ. Indeed, heavy metal exposure has been linked an increased risk of chronic kidney disease (CKD) its progression, may be explained by well-established nephrotoxic these metals. In this hypothesis narrative literature review, we will shed light potential role that another highly problem patients with CKD, iron deficiency, play damaging patient group. Iron deficiency previously uptake intestine due upregulation receptors also take up other Furthermore, recent research suggests retention kidney. Therefore, hypothesize plays crucial CKD supplementation might strategy combat detrimental processes.

Sediment is an important part of aquatic systems, which plays a vital role in transporting and storing metals. Due to its abundance, persistence, environmental toxicity, heavy metal pollution has always been one the hot spots world. In this article, state-of-art ex situ remediation technology for metal-contaminated sediments elaborated, including sediment washing, electrokinetic (EKR), chemical extraction, biological treatment, as well encapsulating pollutants by adding some stabilized/solidified materials. Furthermore, progress sustainable resource utilization methods, such ecosystem restoration, construction materials (e.g., fill materials, partition blocks, paving blocks), agriculture use are reviewed detail. Finally, pros cons each technique summarized. This information will provide scientific basis selecting appropriate particular scenario.
