Water, a necessary component of cell protoplasm, plays an essential role in supporting life on Earth; nevertheless, extreme changes climatic conditions limit water availability, causing numerous issues, such as the current water-scarce regimes many regions biome. This review aims to collect data from various published studies literature understand and critically analyze plants’ morphological, growth, yield, physio-biochemical responses drought stress their potential modulate nullify damaging effects via activating natural physiological biochemical mechanisms. In addition, described breakthroughs understanding how plant hormones influence phytohormonal interaction through signaling under regimes. The information for this was systematically gathered different global search engines scientific databases Science Direct, including Google Scholar, Web Science, related studies, books, articles. Drought is significant obstacle meeting food demand world’s constantly growing population. Plants cope with cellular osmotic potential, activation defense systems form antioxidant enzymes accumulation osmolytes proteins, proline, glycine betaine, phenolic compounds, soluble sugars. Phytohormones developmental processes networks, which aid acclimating plants biotic abiotic challenges and, consequently, survival. Significant progress has been made jasmonates, salicylic acid, ethylene identifying important components roles stress. Other hormones, abscisic auxin, gibberellic brassinosteroids, peptide have linked pathways ways.

Soil salinity disrupts the physiological and biochemical processes of crop plants ultimately leads to compromising future food security. Sodium nitroprusside (SNP), a contributor nitric oxide (NO), holds potential alleviate abiotic stress effects boost tolerance in plants, whereas less information is available on its role salt-stressed lentils. We examined effect exogenously applied SNP lentil by monitoring plant growth yield-related attributes, biochemistry enzymes (superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), peroxidase (POD)) amassing leaf malondialdehyde (MDA) hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Salinity was induced NaCl application at concentrations 50 mM (moderate salinity) 100 (severe salinity), while it alleviated µM µM. severely inhibited length roots shoots, relative water content, chlorophyll content leaves, number branches, pods, seeds, seed yield, biomass per plant. In addition, MDA, H2O2 as well SOD, CAT, POD activities were increased with increasing levels. Plants supplemented (100 µM) showed significant improvement growth- yield-contributing parameters, especially grown under moderate (50 NaCl). Essentially, remained effective rescue regulating pathways. Thus, exogenous could be developed useful strategy for improving performance salinity-prone environments.

Among the biotic and abiotic stress affecting physical, chemical, biological properties of soil, salinity is a major threat that leads to desertification cultivable land throughout world. The existence diverse versatile microbial populations inhabiting nutrient-rich soil varied conditions affects dynamism. A normal constitutes 600 million bacteria belonging about 20,000 species, which reduced 1 with 5,000-8,000 species in conditions. Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are symbiotic association plant system, helps combating increases overall productivity yield. These microorganisms actively associated cellular communication processes through quorum sensing secondary metabolites such as production Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), exopolysaccharide (EPS) siderophore, ammonia, ACC deaminase, solubilization phosphate. present study focused on isolation, identification, characterization isolated from seacoast Dandi, Navsari. Twelve isolates exhibited PGP traits at high salt concentration 15-20%. AD9 isolate identified Bacillus halotolerans showed higher ammonia (88 ± 1.73 μg/mL) phosphate (86 3.06 15% concentration, while AD32* (Bacillus sp. clone ADCNO) gave 42.67 ±1.20 μg/mL IAA 20% concentration.
