Background and Objectives: The global demographic trend of population aging is evident across all regions, with a notable increase in the proportion elderly individuals. Romania exemplifies this phenomenon, as 17% its currently aged 65 years or older—a figure projected to rise 25% by 2050. This shift underscores pressing need for comprehensive measures address health social requirements growing segment. study aims assess prevalence frailty among older adults explore relationship socioeconomic factors. Materials Methods: We employed quantitative approach, using cross-sectional data from patients hospitalized at geriatrics ward Municipal Clinical Hospital Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Frailty scores were calculated through established assessment tools, allowing evaluation status. In addition, we compared characteristics frail non-frail identify potential disparities. Statistical analyses performed associations between factors, providing insight into these variables within patient population.
