Objectives Road traffic injuries represent a significant public health concern globally. In Iran, road accidents have become leading cause of death and disability, necessitating urgent attention to injury prevention strategies. This study aims analyse the trends in resulting from over decade. Understanding these is crucial for informing targeted interventions resource allocation, ultimately contributing reduction injuries. Design Ecological study. Setting The data were obtained official database Iranian Legal Medicine Organization, which includes rates all provinces due accidents, 2012 2021. A piecewise linear mixed-effects model was employed estimate rates, by gender. To identify distinct clusters exhibiting similar growth mixture used 10 years. Results Among provinces, Qom (95% CI 18.99 37.21) Sistan Baluchestan 5.41 7.66) had highest lowest decade, respectively. rate Iran increased 0.52% 2018 then gradually decreased 1.16% after 2018. Four classes identified trend decade: one cluster exhibited decline, two showed sharp increases last steady trend. Conclusions These results contribute valuable insights into dynamics accident-related offering nuanced understanding both overarching national unique patterns observed Such knowledge can serve as foundation policy formulations aimed at mitigating impact on safety.
