Agroforestry, a land-use system integrating trees with crops and livestock, has attracted attention for its capacity to deliver various ecosystem services. In the Indian Subcontinent, where land resources face intense pressure, agroforestry provides sustainable resilient solution landscape management. This chapter examines services offered by systems in this region, emphasising their advantages challenges broader implementation. It begins an overview of agroforestry's historical context, geographical distribution, prevailing practices subcontinent. Moreover, environmental vulnerability climate change further complicate effective implementation practices. To address these constraints optimize potential agroforestry, proposes several key recommendations. By addressing research gaps, can significantly contribute management human well-being across Subcontinent.
