This paper discusses the mathematical visual literacy skills among pre-university students in Malaysia. Students’ were tested on a set of based Avgerinou’s Visual Literacy Index. Before conducting main study, researchers designed proper scoring rubric to guide students’ performance. An analytical was used and its suitability defined throughout theprocess. It found that performed poorly when instrument has given structure format but showed some improvements questions changed objective format.
