The transition towards sustainable and defossilized mobility systems relies on public perception acceptance of innovations like efuels. Understanding the role risk perceptions their different dimensions in shaping is therefore critical for facilitating introduction efuels into systems. A quantitative survey was conducted among a representative sample 517 German participants to assess Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach employed analyze relationships between cognitive, affective, domain-specific (health, environmental, financial) analysis revealed low levels both cognitive affective as well positive Financial more pronounced than health or environmental perceptions. Affective were found negatively impact acceptance, with showing stronger influence. Environmental associated while financial risks showed no significant association. findings suggest that are generally accepted, concerns might hinder widespread adoption.
