Purpose of the study: This study aims to analyze students' computational thinking abilities in solving combinatorial problems based on high, medium, and low ability categories. Methodology: uses a descriptive qualitative approach with subjects 33 students class VIII I State Islamic Junior High School 2 Bondowoso. Data were collected through written tests, semi-structured interviews, documentation. analysis used Miles Huberman model (reduction, presentation, conclusion) triangulation techniques for validation, comparing test results, Main Findings: Students high medium are able meet all indicators thinking, including identifying understanding problems, converting them into combinatorics. Meanwhile, have difficulty re-understanding found. Novelty/Originality this provides new insights how level influences their success as well offers perspectives developing more effective learning strategies enhance ability.

This study investigated the effectiveness of Visual Questioning Cycle Strategy (VQCS) in enhancing critical thinking skills eighth-grade students. The research addressed problem developing higher-order among middle school learners through structured inquiry methods. While previous literature has explored value inquiry-based strategies promoting student engagement, limited studies have assessed specific impact VQCS on measurable outcomes. A quasi-experimental, non-comparative design involved 19 students from a first block science class at Albemarle Road Middle School. Cornell Critical Thinking Test – Level X was used to evaluate students’ before and after intervention. Demographic surveys feedback instruments were assess perceptions classroom effectiveness. findings indicated statistically significant improvement performance. Multiple regression analysis revealed that language, race, ethnicity significantly related gains, whereas age gender not. Teacher further supported instructional VQCS, with high mean ratings indicating positive reception. results suggest is promising pedagogical strategy for cultivating inclusive learning environments.
