ABSTRACT Sugarcane ( Saccharum spp.) is an important cash crop widely grown in tropical and subtropical regions. In addition to being the main raw material for sugar ethanol production, it rich a wide range of bioactive compounds with remarkable chemical diversity biological activity. recent years, sugarcane research has gradually increased due interest natural medicines functional foods. This paper reviews constituents their potential bioactivities sugarcane. These include flavonoids, flavonoid carbonyl glycosides, flavonols, dihydroflavonoids, dihydroflavonols, chalcones flavanols. China's traditional Chinese medicine resources are facing serious problems terms sustainable development, causing shortage aggravated by changes environment species composition as well uncontrolled human harvesting. Therefore, great significance maintenance development study such resources, which have medicinal value potential, discover new uses them. this review, we discuss its bioactivities, explore applications field look direction future research.
