Between 2022 and 2023, four systematic fish surveys were carried out in the Poyang Lake basin (PLB), capturing 49,192 (7017 kg) identifying 120 species from 10 orders, 21 families, 70 genera. Cypriniformes most dominant, accounting for 79 species. The spring autumn collected 25,734 23,458 individuals, respectively, with corresponding biomasses of 3978 kg 3038 kg. Dominant (IRI > 1000) study area included Hemiculter leucisculus, Megalobrama skolkovii, Hypophthalmichthys molitrix, Aristichthys nobilis. Additionally, critically endangered such as Ochetobius elongatus, Myxocyprinus asiaticus, Acipenser sinensis well exotic like Cirrhinus mrigala euryhaline Cynoglossus gracilis Hyporhamphus intermedius observed. Hierarchical clustering grouped survey stations into three distinct areas (PYS, XBMS, XBUS), ANOSIM analysis showing highly significant differences (R = 0.893, p < 0.01). Redundancy (RDA) indicated that spring, total phosphorus (TP) temperature main factors influencing variability (80.50%), while autumn, temperature, oil, pH key (75.20%). This emphasizes predictable changes community composition caused by environmental gradients highlights need ongoing monitoring to effectively manage protect ecosystem, particularly post-fishing ban period.
