Poor waste management has resulted in marine plastic litter increasing worldwide, and microplastics (MP) are now found everywhere. There is urgent need for a broader understanding of the density MP different habitats, to understand main sinks MPs predict what biological impacts likely those sinks. Here we quantify abundance all major habitats through meta-analysis data collected by systematic review. We extracted densities from 332 studies covering water column, intertidal, inshore offshore seabed continents. ubiquitous, present continents with an average (±95%CI) global 38,131±14,121 particles m-2. sediments were one two orders magnitude higher than column. The occurrence and distribution characteristics of tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA) its relationship with microbial community diversity in different mangrove sediments need further investigation. results this study indicated levels TBBPA from the Zhangjiang Estuary (ZJ), Jiulongjiang (JLJ), Quanzhou Bay (QZ) Southeast China ranging 1.80 to 20.46, 3.47 40.77, 2.37 19.83 ng/g dry weight (dw), respectively. Mangrove JLJ contained higher TBBPA, possibly due agricultural pollution. correlation analysis revealed a significant between total organic carbon (TOC), nitrogen (TN), ZJ sediments, but not QZ sediments. TOC significantly affected pH had no effect. High-throughput 16S rRNA gene sequencing showed that Pseudomonadota dominated sediment bacteria followed by Chloroflexota, Actinobacteota, Bacillota, Acidobacteriota, Bacteroidota, Aminicenantes Although structure ZJ, JLJ, was similar, taxonomic profile their sensitive responders differed markedly. genus Anaerolinea dominant responsible for situ dissipation TBBPA. Based on redundancy analysis, there TOC, TN, C/N, pH, at level. Combining may induce variations

Abstract Zhanjiang Gaoqiao Mangrove Reserve is one of the largest mangrove reserves in China, and its unique ecosystem makes rich microbial resources. In this study, sediments from was used as samples, polyethylene (PE) sole carbon source carbon-free medium. The microorganisms sediment were enriched, isolated, purified to obtain PE-degradable bacteria; species PE-degrading bacteria determined by morphological analysis, biochemical identification molecular identification; degradation ability strain PE evaluated weight loss rate Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). obtained results presented three strains pseudo-degradable S1-1, S1-2 S1-3, which belonged Pseudomonas aeruginosa , Acinetobucter venetianus Klebsiella pneumoniae respectively. Among them, S1-3 had best effect, reached 4.25% after 120 days. rates S1-1 3.81% 3.88%, Under observation FTIR, it found that all could change internal structure PE. This study laid a foundation for verification provided reference bioremediation pollution environment.
