In this paper we present a new extension of the truncated positive normal (TPN) model, called power normal. This incorporates shape parameter that provides more flexibility to model. addition, was reparameterized based on p-th quantile distribution in order perform regression. The initial values were calculated from modification moment estimators, which allowed maximum likelihood estimators be obtained. A simulation study carried out suggests good behavior finite samples. Finally, two applications using health databases are presented.

A novel partially functional linear regression model with random effects is proposed to address the case of Euclidean covariates and covariates. Specifically, assumes that follow a Gaussian process prior establish linkage structure between scalar responses. For covariates, relationship responses assumed, are approximated using Karhunen–Loève expansion. To enhance robustness predictive model, cross-validation-based ensemble strategy employed optimize method. Results from both simulation studies real-world data analyses demonstrate superior performance competitiveness approach in terms prediction accuracy stability.
