Abstract Objective To investigate the impact of extended aerobic and anaerobic exercise on cerebral activity by analyzing functional connectivity strength attributes cortex in endurance runners (aerobic) sprint athletes (anaerobic) during resting state with fNIRS.Method Thirteen sprinters twelve were assessed using a near-infrared spectroscopic imaging system to quantify resting-state connection strengths for HbO2, HbR, HbT across brain, namely prefrontal primary motor cortex. Results 1. In examination overall group exceeded that group. regions interest, left right surpassed However, was greater than comparisons between contrast, had more pronounced cortex. 2. The study HbR indicated mean whole-brain group; however, no significant differences seen two groups intra- inter-ROI comparisons. 3. average brain-wide demonstrated exhibited M1-R M1-L throughout interest. Conclusion enhanced brain cortex, whereas superior lobe. Various modalities will have distinct influences neuroplasticity different regions, establishing novel theoretical framework training clinical rehabilitation.
