Background: The increased rates of common fungal diseases are a constant challenge. Therefore, the search for plant-based compounds with antifungal activity, particularly ones against Candida species, is always relevant in medical context. However, most studies have focused on screening activity extracts rather than isolated compounds. Based this, we aimed to analyze and organize comprehensive overview other biological activities found Anacardiaceae family vegetal covering mechanisms action potential therapeutic applications. Results: extracts, essential oils, frequently assayed anti-Candida using vitro minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC), fungicide (MFC), halo inhibition assays. albicans, C. tropicalis, parapsilosis, glabrata, krusei, guilliermondii were tested fungus species. Essential oils used form (37% studies). included shikimic acid, 2-hydroxy-1,8-cineole β-D-glucopyranoside, myricitrin, cardanol, estragole, trans-anethole, β-caryophyllene, myrcene, catechin-3-O-rhamnoside, β-sitosterol-3-O-glucoside, 24Z-isomasticadienolic oleanolic pistagremic apigenin, sakuranetin, aldehyde, integriside. Conclusions: Our data indicate that from species show promise developing new drugs, mainly if consider their activities, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, apoptotic effects. In this context, they may be candidates future treatments infections, especially combination conventional antifungals or when nanostructured formulations, which result avenue plant

The citrus industry contributes to the cultivation of one most important fruit crops globally. However, trees are susceptible numerous Bisifusarium, Fusarium, and Neocosmospora-linked diseases, with dry root rot posing a serious threat orchards worldwide. These infections exacerbated by biotic abiotic stresses, leading increased disease incidence. Healthy unexpectedly wilt fall, exhibiting symptoms such as chlorosis, dieback, necrotic roots, rot, wood discolouration, eventual decline. Research indicates that is caused complex species from Nectriaceae family, Neocosmospora solani being prominent. To improve treatment management strategies, further studies needed definitively identify these phytopathogens understand conditions factors associated Neocosmospora-related diseases in citrus. This review focuses on epidemiology symptomatology Fusarium species, recent advances molecular techniques for accurate phytopathogen identification, mechanisms pathogenicity resistance underlying Neocosmospora-citrus interactions. Additionally, highlights novel alternative methods, including biological control agents, promote environmentally friendly sustainable agricultural practices.

Powdery mildew is a highly destructive disease that greatly reduces both the yield and quality of wheat. As there limited research on changes in microorganism community caused by powdery infection different tissue parts, especially after spike infection, this study aimed to examine surface microorganisms infected healthy wheat plants. Samples were collected from leaves spikes, number operational taxonomic units (OTUs), diversity index, abundance, metabolic microbial analysed using 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing technology. Through identification tissues, 24 phyla identified leaves, 20 spikes. The dominant bacterial observed Proteobacteria Bacteroidetes . At genus level, 19 genera detected 11 Notably, total exceeded Pseudomonas , Sphingomonas Pantoea species 37 types 35 included Pedobacterium panaciterrae baetica rhizophaerae aerolata analysis conducted revealed incidence was greater plots situated closer obstacles than other plots. when with mildew, results indicated spikes significantly impacted, response being more pronounced leaves. Different leaf surface, pathway are mainly regulation. These provide theoretical support for prevention control crops.

Substances smaller than 100 nm in size are called nanoparticles. In this study silver nanoparticle synthesis was carried out by using AgNO3 from leaf, fruit, and branch aqueous extracts of the mistletoe (Viscum album ssp. austriacum) plant. It determined whether nanoparticles were formed UV-Vis method. As a result analysis plant parts, peaks observed at 425, 427, 430 nm, indicating surface plasmon resonance AgNPs. Specific functional groups involved formation AgNPs reduction Ag FT-IR spectroscopy. SEM EDS analyses that synthesized samples nanosized, average 59.91. addition to crystallite calculated XRD diffraction, it all obtained nanometer range, same as pure silver. Considering antioxidant results study, highest total phenolic flavonoid amounts leaf extract (35.57±1.39 mg GAE/g extract) fruit (23.42±1.29 QE), respectively. Additionally, radical scavenging activity sample (IC50 129.24±1.38 μg/mL). antidiabetic (α-amylase inhibition) 123.59±1.44 result, these parts had superior antioxidant, antidiabetic, antimicrobial properties.

Aspergillus flavus is an opportunistic pathogenic fungus that causes invasive aspergillosis in humans. Due to the limited variety and quantity of clinical antifungal drugs their adverse effects, development new broad-spectrum urgently required. Our preliminary research showed sodium houttuyfonate (SNH) was efficacious against A. fumigatus infection, but its effects remain unknown. In this study, we used microdilution broth susceptibility method determine activities four SNH 12 strains, vitro . To confirm therapeutic effect on established a mouse model pulmonary (IPA) with nasal drip method. All strains tested were resistant fluconazole sensitive itraconazole, voriconazole, amphotericin B. The minimum inhibitory concentration inhibit growth 90% cells (MIC90) test 64–128 μg/mL. After IPA treated SNH, expression genes encoding interleukin 6 (IL-6), IL-1β, tumor necrosis factor α significantly reduced. also reduced fungal load lung, extent pathological damage, neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio blood. These findings indicated potential utility treatment infections.
