Land Use/Land Cover (LULC) is one of the most significant human variables influencing efficiency Ecosystem Services (ESs) in terrestrial ecosystems. Theoretical and technical assistance for regional sustainable land use planning management, as well ecosystem conservation restoration, provided by investigating influence changes LULC pattern on ESs. This research focuses interactions between socioeconomic activities natural ecological processes Three Gorges Reservoir Area (TGRA). We data from TGRA years 1990, 2000, 2010, 2020. The study includes analysis calculation spatiotemporal evolution features current ESs, including their distribution. Considering TGRA’s national development orientation guidance, three potential patterns are constructed under various develop-ment scenarios. To calculate GeoSOS-FLUS future simulation model linked, several methodologies such INVEST, RUSLE, CASA used. goal to investigate ESs efficiency. findings show following: (1) From 1990 2020, values water services decreased subsequently increased. High-value areas primarily located reservoir’s centre eastern sections, whereas low-value mostly found western section. Soil service initially declined later climbed. carbon storage have in-creased yearly, 552.64 g/m 2 2000 615.92 (2) In protection scenario, soil erosion increased compared system benefits greater when scenario. (3) four positive spatial correlations across all scenarios, local au-tocorrelation demonstrate that storage, yield, habitat quality comparable distributions some extent, high-value conservation, retention, overlap.

The official establishment of China’s national parks marks a new stage in the construction ecological civilization system. National systematically protect areas with richest biodiversity and most complete ecosystem processes China. This is beneficial not only for natural conservation work, but also world’s response to environmental issues, such as climate change. Based on remote sensing images land use four periods 1990, 2000, 2010, 2020, this study calculated changes each park during corresponding period. Using Plus model LEAS module, driving factors change were studied explored. In addition, used InVEST carbon storage using from different pools basic data operation, obtain over past 30 years. hotspot analysis function, years determined. Consequently, based CARS module PLUS model, Northeast Tiger Leopard Park 2030 was estimated under scenarios. Research suggested that, except Sanjiangyuan where grassland main type, other are all dominated by forests, expansion types due human activities. years, has mainly shown trend first increasing then gradually decreasing. park, restoration scenarios simulated core protected generally controlled Park. Under ideal scenario, highest value would be achieved 2030, which 7,468,250 t higher than that 2020. present provides reference regional management further confirms implementation system can enhance ability achieve peaking neutrality goals.

Understanding the tradeoffs/synergies between ecosystems is crucial to effective watershed ecosystem management and sustainable development. In this study, Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services Tradeoffs (InVEST) Carnegie Ames Stanford Approach (CASA) models were utilized estimate four services (ESs), including water conservation capacity, soil retention, habitat quality, carbon storage services, in Qinghai Lake Basin 2000 2018. Local Indicators Spatial Association (LISA) criterion (TSC) used reveal relationships ESs. The results show that service all increased TSC LISA revealed quality retention had same relationship, as did retention. addition, showed ESs are mainly based on high clusters concentrate middle basin. analysis also obvious spatial heterogeneity. The growing tension between economic development and ecological preservation in the Ili River Valley underscores need for advanced analytical methods to effectively balance these interests. In this study, we utilized InVEST model quantify ecosystem services, combined with an analysis of sensitivity, comprehensively assess health region. By applying circuit theory, research identified key components such as sources, corridors, critical nodes, alongside barriers; thus, mapping security pattern tailored specifically wetland oasis Valley. 15 source sites covering 43,221.17 km2, 31 corridors totaling 782 km length, 32 vital nodes each exceeding 1 km2. Notably, 81.8% areas exhibited high resilience, thus emphasizing their crucial role maintaining region’s balance. findings provide essential guidance stewardship management underscore importance incorporating considerations within planning frameworks arid regions.

Clarifying the complex relationships among ecosystem services (ESs) and their driving mechanisms is essential for effective management enhancing human welfare. Nonetheless, current research on these issues still remains limited; therefore, further theoretical exploration required. This study aims to quantitatively illustrate trade-off strength of ESs investigate spatiotemporal heterogeneity connections between various anthropogenic natural factors in Baiyangdian basin, China, integrating InVEST, RMSE, geographical detector MGWR methods. From 2000 2020, total water yield (WY) nutrient export (NE) increased, while carbon storage (CS) habitat quality (HQ) decreased slightly. The trade-offs showed heterogeneity. most serious occurred regulating (CS NE) supporting 2000, which was mainly distributed densely forested grassed western northern regions basin. intensities half pairwise 2020 with strengthened areas located southeast watershed where built-up lands are concentrated. Various dominated ESs, interactive effects multiple drivers being more significant than those individual factors. Land use type, vegetation cover precipitation have pronounced effect ESs. findings this may suggest advocate spatial ecological strategies enhance integrated holistic advancement also serve as a reference regional governance attainment sustainable growth.
