Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) containing different levels of basic fuchsine (BF) was prepared using the solution casting method. Characterization via Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy detailed changes in functional groups within PVA/BF composites, indicating hydrogen bonding between OH group PVA and BF molecules. Optical investigations spanning 190–2500 nm range demonstrated UV blocking properties composites (from 2.05 to 2.56 eV from 4.08 6.32 eV). Moreover, studies on optical band gap indicated a decrease with increased concentrations, reflecting altered electronic transitions composites. The study also employed single oscillator model provided by Wemple-DiDomenico elucidate refractive index variations. After incorporating dye into polymer, values dielectric constant as frequency approaches infinity ( ε ∞ ), lattice L dispersion energy (E d o ) composite samples showed an increase. nonlinear properties, including susceptibility were investigated discussed. These findings underscore versatility doped for various applications filters, solar cell devices.

The current study explores biodegradable packaging materials that have high food quality assurance, as deterioration is mostly caused by UV degradation and oxidation, which can result in bad flavor nutrition shortages. Thus, new multifunctional zinc oxide nanoparticles/tannic acid (ZnO@TA) with antioxidant antibacterial activities were incorporated into polyvinyl alcohol/chitosan (PVA/CH) composite films different ratios (1%, 3%, 5% based on the total dry weight of film) via a solution blending method neutral aqueous solution. Additionally, ZnO nanoparticles unique mechanisms through generation excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) may lead to intensify pathogen resistance conventional agents. minimizing negative effects levels ROS be possible developing unique, potential coordination bond between tannic (ZnO@TA). ZnO@TA examined using Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM). effect incorporation barrier, mechanical, thermal, antioxidant, antimicrobial, blocking characteristics chitosan/polyvinyl alcohol (ZnO@TA@CH/PVA) was investigated. lowest water vapor permeability maximum capacity% are 31.98 ± 1.68 g mm/m

Alginate-ZnO nanoparticles (ZnOnano) composite wound dressing membranes were prepared with two different ZnOnano concentrations (0.03 and 0.20 g ZnO/g sodium alginate) cross-linked calcium treatments (low high Ca++concentration) to evaluate the influence of nanoparticle content cross-linking degree on membrane attributes. addition did not significantly alter mechanical properties, water vapor permeability, swelling in alginate amorphous nature nanocomposite membranes. The increase degree, other hand, altered microstructure membranes, increased tensile strength reduced permeability presence granted them antibacterial activity vitro against Pseudomonas aeruginosa Staphylococcus aureus substantially absorption capacity phosphate buffer fetal bovine serum solutions, validating their potential use as dressings.
