Herein, a biohybrid polymer nanocomposite of carboxylated chitosan-phthalate/SnO2 nanoparticles (CTS-PHA/SnO2) was developed for dye wastewater treatment i.e. removal basic red 2 (BR2) dye. A study conducted using response surface methodology (RSM) to analyse the impact three factors on adsorption BR2 These were CTS-PHA/SnO2 dosage (0.02–0.08 g), pH (4–10), and time (10–30 min). The exhibited BET area 9.08 m2/g. total pore volume also determined be 0.0240 cm3/g, mean diameter measured 10.61 nm. mostly displays polycrystalline properties, as shown by its average crystallite size 19.85 kinetics isotherms indicate that Freundlich pseudo-first-order kinetic models accurately describe CTS-PHA/SnO2. findings BBD model suggest most effective conditions achieving high elimination rate (97.28%) 9.5, dose 0.052 g, contact 30 minutes. maximum absorption capacity towards computed 465.3 mg/g at temperature 25°C. proposed mechanism onto involves electrostatic interaction, π-π, hydrogen bonding, n-π stacking interaction. this material shows promise highly bioadsorbent treatment.
