Echinacanthus longipes is an endemic species in the Sino-Vietnamese karst flora family Acanthaceae. It displays distinctive environmental adaptation characteristics regions. Although it provides important model for understanding role of limestone speciation and endemism, mitochondrial genome (mtDNA) E. has not been fully characterized. Here, mtDNA was successfully assembled as a complex structure form two small circular three linear molecules with total length 810,200 bp. The annotated results revealed 36 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 22 tRNA genes, rRNA this mtDNA. Notably, substantial sequence repeats more tRNAs translocations from chloroplast to were identified. Among PCGs longipes, majority 401 RNA editing sites involved amino acid transitions hydrophobic sites. current phylogenetic analysis based on evolution Lamiales close relationship between Avicennia marina. However, comparative analyses, including size, structure, GC contents, reflected variation mitogenomes within Acanthaceae, collinearity confirmed low level conservation genomes related Lamiales. Moreover, Ka/Ks that negative selection occurred most PCGs, notable exception ccmB, which underwent positive selection. Interestingly, ccmB gene had protein This study will be invaluable also extensive information functional genetic adaptive studies regions future.

Abstract In this project, we studied the complete mitogenome of liliaceae medicinal plant Polygonatum sibiricum . The genome is represented by a circular ring molecule with length 691 , 910 bp and GC content 46.33%. Mitochondrial composition slightly biased towards A+T, AT accounting for 53.67%, skewness positive (0.092%). has total sixty-three unique genes, including thirty-nine protein-coding twenty-one transfer RNAs (tRNAs) three ribosomal (rRNAs). We examined codon use, repeat sequence, RNA editing in P. elucidated species classification based on phylogenetic trees twenty-three species. Our results provide comprehensive information show first time evolutionary relationship between Chlorophytum comosum Asparagales family.

Abstract Background Strobilanthes sarcorrhiza is a traditional medicinal plant known for its heat-clearing and kidney-nourishing properties. While plastid genome has been reported, there scarcity of genetic information regarding mitogenome, leading to unclear phylogenetic relationships. We sequenced assembled the complete mitogenome conducted series analyses in conjunction with gain better understanding species’ background. Results The comprised linear structure spanning 617,134 bp. It included 35 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 19 transfer RNAs (tRNAs), 3 ribosomal (rRNAs) that have annotated. Additionally, 122 simple sequence repeats (SSRs) 25 tandem were identified. A total 1,482 pairs dispersed detected, which account 17.58% entire mitogenome. Furthermore, 37 migration fragments between mitochondrial genomes discovered, consisting 5 PCGs, 7 tRNAs, 1 rRNA. Based on analysis 38 mitogenomes 46 genomes, evolutionary relationship position S. elucidated. Conclusions This study has, first time, provided insights into genomic characteristics clarified position. These findings offered significant future identification classification this genus, as well breeding plants.
