Bee pollen is characterized by an exceptional diversity and abundance of micronutrients bioactive phytochemicals. This richness remains very sparsely investigated, but accumulating evidence strongly supports a promising future for bee in human nutrition medicine. Epigenetic regulation among the most compelling biomedical topics that remain completely untapped derivative research. In our current research, we identified numerous ubiquitous compounds are consistently present this matrix, regardless its botanical geographical origins, have been well studied documented as epigenetic regulators recent years. Given relative newness both research studies within nutritional, pharmaceutical, medical sciences, review aims to bridge these valuable fields advance related experimental investigations. To best knowledge, first work has aimed comprehensively investigate modulatory potential compounds. Our findings also unveiled several intriguing phenomena, such dual effect same compound depending on cellular context or some cross-generational heritability traits. Although whole extract still lacking, study clearly indicates avenue worth further We hope constitutes foundational cornerstone investigations

The characteristics of ulcerative colitis (UC) in the elderly are quite different from young population. Mitochondrial injury is a key mechanism regulating both aging and inflammation. This study aims to reveal role mitochondrial damage pathogenesis adult- elderly-onset UC. RNA-sequencing colonic mucosa UC patients was performed. Mitochondria-related differentially expressive genes (mDEGs) immune cell infiltration analysis were identified performed tissues patients. Mice aged 6–8 weeks 20–24 months administered 2% dextran sodium sulphate (DSS) for 7 days induce colitis. morphological changes ATP levels evaluated colons mice. Mechanistically, we explored association mDEG with reactive oxygen species (ROS), consumption rates, NLRP3/IL-1β pathway HCT116 line. Thirty mDEGs between UC, which related primarily respiratory function also had significant correlation infiltrates cells. Compared mice, DSS-induced mice exhibited more severe inflammation, damaged structure lower tissues. In tumor necrosis factor-alpha-stimulated cells, ROS, NLRP3 IL-1β expression increased less respiration an upregulated trend after knocking down ALDH1L1. Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a common complex metabolic disorder that exhibits strong genetic predisposition. 5,10-methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) regulates folate metabolism, which has been proposed to be associated with T2DM, although the relationship inconsistent among different geographical areas. This study aimed investigate effects of MTHFR C677T (rs1801133) and A1298C (rs1801131) loci polymorphisms on T2DM susceptibility in population Dali area Yunnan Province, China.
