Introduction: Office hysteroscopy (OH) offers a “see and treat” strategy, enabling most gynecological conditions to be addressed outside the operating room without anesthesia. Despite its convenience, associated pain stress remain significant barriers widespread success among women. Both pharmacological non-pharmacological interventions have been explored mitigate these challenges, albeit with mixed outcomes. Methods: This study aimed evaluate effectiveness of virtual reality (VR) in reducing OH using objective measurements. Results: Our findings indicate that VR significantly reduced during compared control group (−1.08, 95%CI; −1.93–0.23, on Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), p = 0.013) 10 min post-procedure (−1.24, −1.99–0.48, 0.001), effects stress-related variables. Stratified analyses further revealed efficacy reduction is influenced by individual patient characteristics, greater observed women lower baseline stress, premenopausal status history childbirth, regardless vaginal delivery. Conclusions: represents promising strategy for managing OH-associated pain, largely depending patient-specific

This study aimed to determine the effect of use "virtual reality (VR) glasses, distraction cards (DCs), and breath exercises (BEs)" on anxiety, pain, satisfaction levels women undergoing Pap smear tests, which is a painful stressful procedure for women. The was conducted as randomized controlled trial in public health center with 140 (four groups; each group n = 35) tests. data were collected using descriptive information form, state anxiety inventory, visual analog scale fatigue, Newcastle-Satisfaction-Nursing-Care Scale, VR glasses application form. After test, scores decreased significantly within all groups except control. indicated significant differences between intervention control groups. In terms pain scores, had higher during speculum insertion test than other group. DCs, BEs effectively reduces while increasing satisfaction. These methods are recommended incorporate into

The severity and impact of pain can vary greatly, even in individuals with the same physical injury. This variation underscores need for a variety treatment strategies effective management. Virtual reality (VR) is an emerging technology that has been used as diverse populations indications. In recent decades, many trials, systematic reviews, meta-analyses have examined VR While there some evidence efficacy terms distraction, pre-exposure, therapy; populations, comparators interventions differ significantly between existing meta-analyses. Thus, present umbrella review was conducted to determine overall strength all identified comparators, by synthesising available Fifty-four reporting on effect immersive management were identified. Overall, appeared efficacious procedural conditions, where when compared standard care. chronic this only indicated short-term improvement intensity. We also numerous areas future research wherein results inconclusive, such examining long term outcomes adverse events, designed therapy, augmented cognitive therapies, or pre-exposure.
