(1) Background: Thermal stress in Guangdong's tropical/subtropical regions significantly compromises yolk quality Huaixiang chickens. Canthaxanthin (CX), an effective feed additive, has been demonstrated to not only enhance the nutritional composition of egg yolks but also mitigate heat stress. This study systematically evaluates effects dietary CX supplementation on production rate and components (e.g., amino acids, lipids, vitamin B2) hens under both normal high-temperature environments. (2) Methods: A factorial design was implemented, exposing either thermoneutral (25 ± 2 °C, 65-75% RH) or (32 conditions. Diets were supplemented with graded levels (0, 4, 6, 8, 10 mg/kg) for 9 weeks. Laying performance profiles (amino minerals, evaluated at 3-week intervals (3rd, 6th, 9th (3) Results: Under temperature conditions, addition enhanced laying rate, relative weight, color score, lecithin (LEC) content, it optimized acid profile yolk. weight ratio, total triglyceride (TG), LEC, B2 (VB2) chickens all decreased. However, conditions effectively mitigated these adverse effects: restored observed while TG, cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein (HDL-C), low-density (LDL-C), calcium (Ca), VB2 higher than those heat-stressed control group. Additionally, improved. (4) Conclusion: enhances nutrient content providing a valuable reference healthy high-quality eggs.

The unique geographical environment of karst regions provides pickles with a favorable flavor and taste; however, the contribution microbial community to pickle fermentation has not been fully explored. In this study, high-throughput sequencing untargeted metabolomics were used characterize 60 naturally fermented samples from 12 different regions. bacterial communities metabolites changed significantly between Lactobacillus delbrueckii, L. homohiochii, fermentum dominant species in samples, relative abundances 29.66, 8.05, 7.12%, respectively. There exist significant variations core biomarkers traditional across diverse characterized by rocky desertification varying temperatures. Global interest has emerged in implementing low crude protein (LCP) diets for poultry. The necessity of their development stems from low-cost formulation, maintaining egg quality, and environmental impacts, including health welfare concerns current production the world. Researchers have conducted several studies to provide biochemical insights into effect LCP on laying hen diets, but practical limitations still exist. Supplementing feed with crystalline essential amino acids (AAs) like methionine, lysine, threonine is standard industry practice. It enabled a reduction dietary (CP) level. However, research considering nonessential AAs glycine (Gly) limited. Therefore, this review aims enhance understanding hens, focusing Gly. Gly equivalents (Glyequi) represented first-limiting acid poultry diets. Targeted adjustment Glyequi can considerably decrease CP generally considered AA it becomes conditionally under situations. variable requirement suggested that its static recommendation provides high safety margins These recommendations would help optimize albumin quality reduce nitrogen (N) emissions farms. suggests could be hens fed
