The textile industry is one of the leading contributors liquid waste in form synthetic dyes, which significantly contaminate water sources. Heterogeneous photocatalysts employ semiconductors that trigger photocatalytic processes with assistance UV or visible light to degrade waste. Tungsten trioxide (WO3) a potential semiconductor small band gap (2.8 eV) absorbs light. WO3 was combined graphene oxide (GO) and hydroxyapatite (HAp) exploit ultrasonication method methylene blue (MB) dye. results SEM-EDX characterization confirm constituent elements WO3/GO/HAp material. chemical were confirmed by energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. ability original modified (WO3/HAp, WO3/GO WO3/GO/HAp) 15 ppm 50 ml MB solution at concentrations 10, 15, 20 mg for 4 h under investigated. breakdown dye demonstrated reaction speed followed first-order pattern. Meanwhile adsorption isotherm better fit Langmuir WO3/GO/HAp. highest pollutant degradation achieved using photocatalysts, efficiencies 99.1 % 98.3 %. These WO3/HAp; WO3/GO, hybrid exhibit performance than unmodified photocatalysts. Additionally, these can be reused up three times without experiencing substantial loss effectiveness.
