Abstract This study aimed to investigate the effects of probiotic Bifidobacterium longum subsp. BL21 on reproductive health in zebrafish ( Danio rerio ), focusing hormonal modulation, sperm vitality, and overall function improvement. Adult male wild-type AB strain were divided into four groups: control (CTL), model with cyclophosphamide-induced oligospermia (CS), probiotic-treated (BL21), a positive treated clomiphene citrate (CC). All groups, except CTL, exposed cyclophosphamide from day 1 9 induce dysfunction, subsequent monitoring until 16. Key metrics assessed included body testicular weight, courtship behavior, hormone levels, DNA fragmentation, gene expression PCNA, NANOG, ZBTB16, mTOR, DDX4, CYP26A1, ALDH1A2. In this study, demonstrated significant therapeutic potential treating dysfunction zebrafish. Metabolomic analysis revealed that influenced crucial pathways, notably upregulating mTOR signaling isoflavone biosynthesis, while downregulating TCA cycle pyruvate metabolism, suggesting broad biochemical impact. The treatment improved weight p < 0.01) count vitality 0.001) compared control, underscoring its efficacy enhancing parameters. Additionally, intervention led marked increase chasing behavior sex surpassing those control. also significantly reduced fragmentation increased genes for spermatogenesis 0.05), confirming restore at multiple biological levels. These results highlight promise as multi-faceted agent improving health, warranting further investigation clinical settings. Probiotic enhances parameters by modulating quality, positively affecting behavior. findings suggest applications probiotics managing issues.
