The COVID-19 pandemic led to unprecedented changes in different aspects of human life, including a significant impact on education systems. This study aimed explore the public perception during initial five weeks emergency remote (ERE) Serbia response outbreak. In fiveweek timeframe starting from March 17, 2020, we collected tweets topic using MAXQDA software, resulting final dataset 1,777 tweets. were analyzed qualitative content analysis and interpreted through lens Cultural-Historical Activity Theory. results research show decreasing trend frequency posts related education, 1,402 first week 92 fifth week. emotional tone was predominantly negative pandemic, with percentage connotation increasing over time. highlights key themes discussion reveals contradictions between ERE pre-pandemic schooling. Twitter community praised use new tools teachers' efforts but criticized adherence rules conventional schooling, as well learning for being overly demanding irrelevant. suggest that lockdown increased visibility teaching, offering potential democratization while invisibility created risks educational equity by obscuring struggles learners.
