In the context of ongoing global urbanization, disparity in urban development, marked by dual phenomena sprawl and shrinkage at regional level, has become increasingly evident. this vein, two land-related governance strategies—smart growth (SG) smart (SS)—emerge as potential remedies to these challenges, targeting expansion shrinkage, respectively. This study bridges gap fragmented discourse surrounding SG SS conducting a comprehensive comparative review on respective literatures. Utilizing Scopus database, our research employs trend analysis, text topic mining, time node augmented qualitative reviews seminal papers. The findings reveal notable shift focus, with interest surging around 2010 (the number SS-related papers published after accounts for 92.3% total entire period) attention waned, suggesting an impending paradigm sustainability. analysis indicates that lacks disciplinary diversity, thematic breadth, empirical depth studies, underscoring need more robust theoretical foundation support Furthermore, while both derive from environmental science foundations, predominantly addresses physical landscape attributes areas, whereas focuses socio-economic dimensions. Our point intrinsic link between SS, which could lay groundwork their integration into unified framework better advance

Abstract Retracted research publications reached an all-time high in 2023, and COVID-19 may have higher retraction rates than other publications. To better understand the impact of on literature, we analyzed 244 retracted related to PubMed database reasons for their retraction. Peer-review manipulation (18.4%) error (20.9%) were most common retraction, with time occurring far more quickly past (13.2 mos, compared 32.9 mos a 2012 study). Publications focused controversial topics rapidly (mean 10.8 mos) but continued receive media attention, suggesting that alone be insufficient prevent spread scientific misinformation. More half retractions resulted from problems could been detected prior publication, including compromise peer review process, plagiarism, authorship issues, lack ethics approvals, or journal errors, robust screening by journals can help mitigate recent rise retractions.

Abstract Background In recent years, there has been a noteworthy increase in research exploring the relationship between gut microbiota and bariatric surgery. This can be attributed to growing recognition of importance diverse health issues, such as obesity, its alterations following Consequently, this study seeks employ bibliometric analysis show current landscape identify key areas focus for future investigations on link surgery microbiota. Methods We conducted comprehensive search Scopus database gather literature concerning impact The encompassed documents published 2009 2023. To analyze data, we employed metrics, including publication count, citation evaluation performance countries, institutions, journals. Additionally, utilized VOSviewer visually present findings. Results A total 555 articles focused correlation Original constituted 55.32% all publications topic, followed by reviews at 37.30%. leading countries terms volume were USA ( n = 156; 28.11%), China 73; 13.15%), UK 52; 9.37%). Co-occurrence highlighted three main clusters topics: (1) composition relation obesity remission, (2) glucose metabolism, circulating bile acids, hormones, microbiome remodeling, (3) connections insulin resistance. Conclusions Ongoing investigated connection microbiota, providing new perspectives metabolic improvements after Further studies are necessary comprehensively grasp how procedures influence formulate precise interventions aimed optimizing advantages
