Background
Climate
change
has
recently
boosted
the
severity
and
frequency
of
pine
bark
beetle
attacks.
The
bacterial
community
associated
with
these
beetles
acts
as
“hidden
players,”
enhancing
their
ability
to
infest
thrive
on
defense-rich
trees.

limited
understanding
